Who is Alilkutez Dolls? 

Its me Laurie, and if you clicked here then I assume your curious to know more. Whenever I browse sites I always check out the "about me" link because I like to associate the real person behind the dolls or graphics. Is she a he? Is she young or older? How long has she been doing dolls/graphics. By doing this I've come to realized that most of us all got hooked the same way. Surfing the net, coming across a little cutsie doll, falling in love with it, and wanting to try one of our very own. 

 Yep, that's exactly what happened to me several years ago. I stumbled onto Guinevere's doll site and was completely taken by her pixel dolls (and still am). She had a contest going at the time and I decided to enter. One of the stipulations was that you had to have a web site. So with little html knowledge  and no clue how to make a site... I managed to get a very basic angelfire site up. Weelllll guess what.... I won the contest, Alilkutez dollz was created, and I've been hooked on dolling ever since. 

 As I previously mentioned, I've been dolling since May of 2003, but took a 6 month hiatus and returned December of "04".  I needed to take a break and rejoin real life.  Aside from hosting problems, a piece of poo computer, no creative ideas, and the circulating flyers with my picture stating missing mom, it was time to let it go for awhile. The test now will be to see if I'm disciplined enough to spread my time equally. 

 So beware to those of you that are new to this enchanting world of dolling, it can be extremely addicting. The escape from reality and stress where people of all nationalities, color, and religious beliefs come together for one common ground. The love of dolling and pixel art. The friendships abound.
